It's worth getting the genuine Volvo electrics as it's just plug and play: none of that tiddling around with ScotchLoks.

Not a massive job to fit a towbar but you need to take the bumper so you need to be careful with the wiring to the metal plate inside that forms part of the radio aerial.

First decide if you want a fixed or a removable one and also look at how much, if any, of the rear bumper needs to be cut away.

You won't go far wrong with a Witter.

I can wholeheartedly, and without hesitation, recommend everybody steer well clear of Manchester Tow Bars & Roof
something-or-other http://www.manchestertowbars.co.uk. These fellows are fools. Utterly stupid, I don't think they know one end of a car from another. And they lie. And their attitude stinks.

They maintain "professionalism" by ensuring the customer cannot see what they are doing, and only admit the limits of their experience when all their cowboy-techniques have failed. They'd rather silently kludge a job than admit to difficulty, prefering the customer to discover their mistakes after they've driven home. Very dishonest, and not in the least bit trustworthy.

I was pressed for time and had very limited options so had to endure it. But there's no chance I'll ever use them again. Not ever.
