Default 2010 xc70 petrol

I am considering going to view a 2010 XC70 3.0ltr petrol . can anyone give me an idea what the real life fuel consumption would likely be , I travel approx seven miles to work and seven back every day .
Thanks

if its the one in preston, looks nice but the interior is a bit, er, 'loud' for me.
It will be quite juicey on fuel, especially given your relatively short trips.
As its a T6 AWD it wil handle nicely, but check ARB bushes, or if its got the adaptive suspension set up make sure its 100% as its $$$ to fix.

Yes it is Gareth , I have just swapped for a X5 3.0d from a S80 d5 a really nice car I had for nearly six years but business dictated I needed something bigger . The X5 is nice but to be honest its no Volvo ! the quality is poor the ride is poor and it just doesn't feel special , although it not too bad on fuel doing a checked 30mpg in daily use , personally I love the interior of the Volvo (cream seats would have been too much) and the petrol would mean no dpf problems plus its got every toy I want !
Its about a hour from me so when I get time if its still there I may get to see it .

The T6 was a bit of a dog. Not many were sold in the UK and not terribly popular in the US where folks were getting 18 mpg / US gallon.

My last petrol car was the 5 cylinder LPT version - great to drive, but I could never get more than 26mpg - and that on steady motorway driving.

18 -20 perhaps a bit more on a long run. In a 2.4 I get 23 average on a run of 140 miles but short runs of 12 - 15 miles it drops well below. For all that diesels are polluting machines in terms both of particulates (they are nano sized and embed themselves in our lungs permanently) and nitrous oxide, twice as bad as petrol. No-one should be buying them and I look forward to seeing them taxed
punitively.

Cant imagine why a modern 3.0ltr engine should be so uneconomical, in the past I have had two 3.0S Capri's a 3.0ltr Senator better than that , even my 6.6ltr Trans Am was better than that and my current 'toy' a 4.2 supercharged Daimler will do low thirty's on a run !
