Anyone seen this?
I left the car in my garage for a week. First time I used it after, the Driver's window would not open. I tried several times to reset the Upper Module with no result I removed the fuse (#4) to the Driver's door module to check it - fuse OK After replacing the fuse the window will open but when it closes it "bounces" open again as though there's an obstruction, but if I hold the window switch up for a few seconds after the window closes, it stays up. Any ideas or solutions? |

One possibility is that the runners and seals have become sticky and or swollen and the extra load is bouncing the window back. A good clean and a spray of silcone might help.

I've had a couple of S60s, and they both suffered from occasional failure of the windows' 'auto close' , bouncing back open when half way up. I had the second car 'fixed' under new-car warranty (new window regulator), but it soon started acting up again.
It is intermittent, though guaranteed to happen at awkward moments, like when you're accelerating away from the M6 toll booths and need both hands, one for steering and the other for gear changes. But I have learned to live with it, and just hold the switch up now when my hands become free, even if it means a lungful of Birmingham flavoured fresh air once in a while. |

As above, there's likely to be an obstruction causing the safety device to activate and cause the auto-close to stop.
You could be lucky and get away with just cleaning the rubber window guide with silicon spray. The weather strip is easy to remove giving some access to the inside of the door, so you can slide a ruler or similar with a rag soaked in silicon spray down the guides right down into the door. Otherwise, the interior door panel is straight forward to remove to get right in there. Worst case scenario is if the blue plastic hinges that runner inside the runner have become brittle and have started to break up causing the window to go wonky. They cost about £3 each, but make you swear, skin your knuckles and cry if you try changing them yourself
