91V, 94W or 94Y tyres?
I am considering changing the tyres on my 2016 V40 in the next few weeks. The tyres on it are currently 225/45r17 91W although I believe 91V rated tyres are the minimum requirement.
I am tempted by the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres and there seem to be three versions available:
I think the obvious choice is to opt for the first one but the fuel rating seems better on the 94 rated ones. I can also get the 94 rated ones for £10 a tyre less. Please may I have any thoughts on whether I should stick to the 91 rating or whether go for one of the 94's. Many thanks. |

Its only a weight (91) and speed (V) rating
Your never going to exceed any of the V,W,Y speed ratings
