VOLVO XC90 D5 SE 185bhp 2007 GEARTRONIC. 144K miles

Good service history. Mot’d 3rd Oct 2023.

Since buying in August 2001 I’ve addressed most of the usual maintenance areas commonly associated with P2 platform cars including new Volvo timing and auxiliaries belts and tensioners, full transmission service including transfer box, haldex and differential oils and filter change, new engine mounts, front wishbones redone with powerflex polyeurethane bushes, new brake discs, pads and shoes all round (volvo parts), bonnet gas struts, A/C recharged July 2023, 2 new tyres, tracking….

I bought this when coming out of covid as a large car primarily to journey back and fro to the South of France which it’s now done many times without missing a beat. As a bonus I found it great when taking the extended family out on day trips - kids love the 2 rear seats!

Unfortunately, I can’t really justify keeping this any longer together with my S60, my wife’s C30 and Celica, plus my V70, kept permanently in France, so I’m reluctantly putting it up for sale and hope it goes to someone who’ll get as much pleasure as I’ve had from owning it.

Inside and out it is in very good condition, with many fewer marks and blemishes than you might expect on a car of this age and mileage.

Based on similar cars advertised on Autotrader, Gumtree, Ebay etc. I think £3k seems a reasonable price for a car in this condition and this amount of recent maintenance work, but I’m not greedy so will be happy to talk money with anyone who’s genuinely interested in buying, but please, no stupid offers.
