Default 2004 V50 - Not starting, turbo vaccuum hose mishap

Bit of background first... the turbo on my 2004 V50 2.0d stopped working after I ham-fistedly knocked some of the vaccuum hoses off when poking around inside the engine bay. I thought I'd put them all back on correctly but the turbo wouldn't engage at all anymore, however, the car still ran and drove.

Fast forward to me trying to rectify the turbo issues a few weeks later and I noticed a hose which appeared to not be connected to anything - this must be the source of the problem I thought! I connected it to a nipple roughly to the right of the oil filter and started the car. It lost power and died so I removed the hose and heard some air escape. Since then the car will not start at all which leads me to believe I've introduced air into the system.

My question is, what have I caused and how can it be rectified? Will try grab some pictures for additional info - any help is much appreciated!

Hi
This might help. I also put a "T" piece and vacuum gauge in (just to test) in the pipe near the battery from the vacuum pump, should be pulling 20" vacuum, I think, if all pipes are connected and holding vacuum, It is someone else's diagram of the forum I saved. If it is not starting one of the flaps in the throttle body might be shut, either jammed or to do with the vacuum??
