Default Does the keyfob have a battery?

I am finding that the distance between myself and the car at which the keybob works is becoming shorter and shorter. I used to be able to switch the alarm off or on from the house, now I ind that I am almost at the car before it operates.

I would normally consider replacing the battery in the remote when these symptoms display, but in the case of this remote I cannot see any form of opening to gain access to the battery - I actually wonder if you are meant to change it, or is it meant to recharge when 'plugged in' - in which case I may have another issue

Any ideas?

I have the answer - thanks to Google pointing me at another post in this forum! (search didn't work on here, but Google found it )

There is a battery, 2 in the PCC, instructions attached for those that experience the issue - my car is just over 2 years old so you may find that this will happen as the car ages

The batteries are normally changed at every service.
If you use both sets of keys, then it is possible that only one was done.
