Default Volvo v70 2.4d 2010 optional tyre size

Hello,

so the standard tyre size for this car is 225/50/r17 (658mm; 25.9") on a 7.5Jx17 rim, but this car came with a 7Jx17 "balder" rim with 215/50/R17 (648mm: 25.5") tyres and it puts it at a 1.5% lower diameter difference. Now as its time for tyre change i can't figure out what tyre size to choose:

1.225/50/r17 but they are like 50% more expensive than other sizes in my country and 225 width is a bit too wide for 7j? the sidewall will bulge a bit?

2.225/45/r17 is the cheapest tyre, but it has a diameter of 635mm: 25.0" and it puts it at 3.5% (-23mm, -0.9"inch) lower diameter from standard. Risk of an uncomfortable ride, suspension problems?

3.215/50/r17, the wideness is perfect for 7j. but still the diameter is 1.5%(-10mm,0.4"inch) lower than standard

4.215/55/r17 Is taller by 1.5% (668mm:26.3")(+10mm;0,4inch) so it won't lower the comfort, but maybe there's risk of rubbing or something else?

What should i choose? Am i in risk of suspensions problems going 1.5-3.5%in difference from standard? A 2-3% difference in speedo isn't that important. Thank you

If a new tyre has 8mm of tread and you wear it down to 2mm that's more than 1,5% difference in the overall diameter of the tyre, the tyre is also subject to squashing where it touches the road so the effective rolling radius (diameter) is not the same as the theoretical diameter, putting 4adults and a load of luggage in the car will squash the tyre more can also give a small percentage difference in the rolling radius. So if you're OK with the small speedo difference 1.5 to 3.5% difference wouldn't be a problem in my opinion.

Sorry it's a bad truck driving habit, when we're on a long run small percentages make a difference, I've known firms that keep a set of wheels with worn out tyres in the workshop for when a truck has to have its biennial tacho calibration, when the new tyres go back on the truck actually goes a little bit faster but the speedo says the same. On a truck tyre the tread is more like 20mm which we can still wear down to 1mm (and then recut for a few more millimetres), but on the bigger wheel the percentage difference is similar to a car tyre.
