Sorry if this has been asked before, I can’t seem to use the search function.
Got the above message on my V90 (69 Reg, 7,500 miles) Anyone had the same? Any resolution? A trip to the dealers isn’t that easy for me so hope it goes away! Thanks

Put the battery on charge for 24 hours + as per instructions in handbook. I suspect that most people with low mileage V90s experience similar issues. Regardless of what some dyed in the wool posters will say the battery cum charging system on modern Volvos is simply not up to the job. The subject has been aired on a number of topics. Good luck.

you need an AGM smart charger and only use the battery charge connections in the engine bay, never connect directly to the battery.
I use one of these but there are cheaper smart chargers https://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-MXS-7-.../dp/B00604UABY

I would also say that if you just drive the car around for longer journeys for a bit then this goes away (because the battery gets charged that way). This worked for me after my car had only had short journeys during lockdown.

I've had similar thing off and on for the last year or so. When serviced it had no error messages, and without photographic evidence (at the time) they didn't investigate further. The mechanic did say this will pop up when the battery is lass than 78% charged. This week after a long drive to Devon and back (~500 miles) the car suddenly started turning itself off at the lights etc, so I assume our battery is now at about 80%.
Like others have said, a good (safe) charge should do the job, or kill the environment to go for a pointless 5 hour drive so that is turns off for 5 seconds at the lights once a week |

So, I went for a drive, 1 hour 15 minutes, half hour fast country road, half hour motorway, 15 mins town centre. Message still on.
I’ve now got a battery charger. It has a 2A setting and a 12A setting (presumably trickle and fast charge). Which should I use? Ta

Stick it on 12 amps overnight, as the battery is being charged the charge rate will drop, if the problem is still there or stop start only works for a few days, its likely to be a faulty battery,

Try to go to nearest garage which is able to read errors via obd socket.
