Default Replaced AQS, now vents not working

Evening all,

Having recently got a VIDA/DICE setup I of course checked the DTC's set in the new automotive love of my life, a '58 S60.

There was one DTC set which was air quality sensor failure. Got one for £90 from my local VW dealer fitted it yesterday and tested it following VIDA instructions - Worked perfectly. Checked today to make sure all was ok and 2 new DTC's had appeared (aaagh!), one of which was "CCM-DD02 Lin-bus 1 Incorrect check sum".

VIDA took me through a couple of fault tracing processes including identification and recalibration and DD02 was removed but I now have a CCM-0070 configuration fault, faulty identification DTC and none of the damper motors/air flaps work now.

VIDA tells me that the expected dampers are "not mounted" even though they're all definitely still present.

What have I done wrong and can anyone help?!

Many thanks in advance.

you may find that the part will not work hence the canbus fault the face lift did not like the Vw version of these looks like as others leave it or stump up for ovlov prices.

Thank you for the reply which made me think and do a different search - I've just found this in another post:

"After replacing (the AQS), the DTC was CCM-DD00 and Vida/Dice could not pick up any of the CCM components when the identify components program was run, only to be expected when there was a rogue signal on the bus, it didn't even start the damper motors."

This seems to be exactly what I'm suffering so I will remove the VW part tomorrow and see if that helps.

Default Phew.

Old Volvo AQS refitted, CCM components identified and calibrated successfully. I have to say that I was sweating like a Politician taking a lie detector test when all the dampers stopped working.

Now comes the decision on whether to stump up for the Volvo AQS, and I guess I'll have to flog the VW ones on Ebay...
