Default £180 for new belt, tensioner and labour?

just got back from my trip to the dealers to get the aircon looked at , while i was there, i enquired about having the cam belt changed cos its very nearly due , was quoted £180 all in including the belt tensioner and labour charges , is this a good price?

Seems reasonable, I'd ask them to change the auxiliary belt as well if not already included. This should only cost you the cost of the belt as it has to come off anyway.

A couple of weeks ago my local Volvo main dealer quoted £185 for the job on my 97 V70 2.5, so yep, it seems reasonable.

Definitely get them to change the aux belt at the same time.

That's cheap, I had mine done this week and it was £238 (that's cam belt and aux belt)

they did state that the auxillary belt would be at cost if it needed repalcing, dotn know the cost of the belt though?

did mine myself as others have done i think it took abot 5 hrs so take away the cost of the parts it will take a garage about 2 hrs so do the math as they say in the states
