Default ECM-P168900 Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Circuit

Hi all,

I'm new to Volvo, be gentle!! . I brought a used V70 2012 with 150K on it. Thinking this was fine and everything else seems to be good. Took it in to Volvo as it needed a recall that was outstanding from last year. They did the cam belt as I didn't know the age and oil change and software updates. On driving it home it started with oil pressure yellow light. Took it back to them and they fitted an control valve. I would not normally go the main dealer but initially I saw value in getting it up to date. Also I had a good experience with them and seems to be all good. I am sure they didn't contribute to this but its becoming a head scratcher and big time. I didnt see it in the 4 weeks before the service but that could be a coincidence.

Since then its gone from bad to worse now going as well to limp mode.

Volvo basically said they don't know what to do now and cant help.

I got a DICE and pulled out the codes.

The diag shows as "Change in the oil pressure does not correspond to the expected pressure upon request for electric piston cooling valve opening."

Based on the information what do you guys think. Is anything know about this type of problem. There is no rough idle and the car drives great. In fact its better than I could expect.

Where should I go first?
