Default Best place to get insurnace for a 144DL

All,

I have an S70 2.5T and want a 144DL, can anyone give me the telephone number to the volvo owners club insurance agent?

I suspect I can get a good price for limited mileage cover on the 144DL but I will have to wait until next year to change the S70.

Cheers,

:+

I don't have the telephone number, but Peter Best is the insurer you want.

I currently have 2 insurers for the classics - Footman James: Tel. 0845 330 1662, and Lynbrook: Tel. 0845 130 4662
The latest acquisitions are with Lynbrook which offer cover on a par with FJ, but cost less (but both tend to be way cheaper than most) - and, helpfully, insure cars under classic policies at 10 years old - the majority expect a car to be 15 at least!
Hope that's of some help.
Cheers,
T

I find lancaster very competative after trying nearly all the others for my 145.

I have a 1969 Citroen DS (value £4500) insured with Footman James (fully comp, unlimited mileage, kept on private driveway) for £140 per year.

Lancaster are fine as long as the car is unmodified. Due to the upgrades on my Amazon (B20 & sports exhaust), Lancaster (& also the VOC insurers) were quoting nearly four times the quote for it being standard (£1500 vs £400). In the end, I went with Adrain Flux, who quoted only £500.

Oh, and I'm only 25 with no ncb (but no accidents / points etc either) & the Amazon is my main car & parked on the street. Ironically, although I had to fill in a lengthy vehicle modification form, I still deal with the standard vehicles dept at Adrian Flux.

Thumbs up Chris Knott

Hi, Chris Knott our club insurers represent Highway, it's always worth phoning them for a quote!

The B20 is not a mod as they were originaly fitted and the sports exhaust is a factory option (R sport)

Insurance quotes very a lot. The best advice is "shop around"
