Advice needed Volvo 144
Hello everyone! Greetings from Bulgaria!
I am new to the forum and I really find it quite useful. We dont have a Volvo club here in Bulgaria and it is not easy to find technical information and spare parts for the older Volvo cars. I have two Volvo 144 / 1969 with B20A engine and 1970 with B20B engine (Stromberg carbs). The first one is in a mint condition, but I would like to add some more power to my second Volvo – about 140 hp at the rear wheels. I 've read some articles regarding volvo 140 but I will highly appreciate any information and technical tips for my project from your own experience. I suppose I will have to use a modified head, sport header exhaust, a new cam “D” type perhaps, ipd sway bars, steel timing gear, poly bushes, reconditioned carbs. I hope you could help me with an advice or any ideas to find some of the parts, even second hand. Excuse me for my English. Best regards, Krass. |

Advice needed Volvo 144
Hallo Dai,
Thank you for your answer. Could you give me the price of the whole set of poly bushes for Volvo 144 as well as the cost of bigger exhaust manifold if you have any. Do you have an idea where can I find a modified cylinder head. Best regards! Krass |

I will price the bushes for you and other bits. The head would be best done localy if possible. It would be expensive to ship as it is a big cast iron lump.
