or there's a nice looking GLT auto estate just popped up on http://www.autotrader.co.uk, don't know where it is, but its only done 82000 miles and they want £995 for it. i'd buy it right now if it was a manual.

It is in pretty good order, not perfect but certainly not rubbish. The last owner had it 11 years and sold it because he was stopping driving. At first I thought the beige interior was funky but now I like it, it gives a bright feel to the interior. When I got it home it started ****ing water out from below the exhaust manifold. I thought all kinds of things. When I looked, the leak was from the connection of the heater pipe to the feed pipe coming from the engine. A mechanic is looking at it tomorrow, hopefully he will be able to fix it without lifting the engine or removing the air mass sensor. It's tricky. The car drives like a Rolls. (Hehe a Bentley actually!). So I am happily driving a GLT again. If anyone wants to swap for a GLT auto estate in similar condition then I will do that because the estate is more useful to me, and I have a full trade rack and even a spare auto gearbox for one, but I am happy driving the saloon and have to say that the saloon is a much nicer car to drive around in, but they don't look very good carrying wardrobes etc.. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...&id=1407799060 In the future I may be willing to add cash to swap for an auto estate in better condition than this, if there is anyone looking for such a deal. Only a GLT will do. Thanks for the input guys, and good luck with your searches. |
