Default Turning on Trip Computer, Leeds

Hi all,
I have just fitted the indicator stalk with the button and rotating switch for the Trip Computer. Haven't been able to get any information out of it so as I understand it the software either needs to be uploaded, or turned on.

From what I have seen/read/heard Volvo will charge anywhere from £200-£350 for this so is there an independant (or any other way) that could get this done for me, somewhere in Yorkshire/Leeds area or thereabouts ?

I work in IT so if there is a way to use a laptop and cable I'd be fine doing that too

Thanks

Adrian

Try These .
http://www.huttonbros.co.uk/Sales.html
Dealer or indi only or you could pay for the daily subscription then pay for the software and purchase Dice and do it yourself .

I'm looking for someone in Leeds/Wakefield/York with a DICE

Am I best going to Hutton Bro's?

Better off with a dealership. There's not many Vida owners that pay the subscription required to do that kind of thing.

I had the same problem when I wanted to activate the auto-up on the front passenger window

£22 for a 1 day VIDA subscription from Volvo Technical Information Shop
You need to go through the screens and give all the required information including a VAT number

After calling the dealer, I was told that my car didnt even have the computer in it ! I guess they checked from the reg.

I was under the impression that all cars had the computers and that you just needed to turn it on/put software on it, and have the stick to control it ?

Anyone know for sure, or know where I can look to see if the computer is there ?

Thanks
