Default Eliminating AM Radio Static

Hello, I've been having a problem with my AM band having crackly static when the engine is running (it does not happen when the engine is off and the radio is powered on in the accessory position). Using a hand held portable AM radio, I think I've identified the problem as the computer module in the engine compartment, as the static noise comes in loud and clear when I hold the portable AM radio near to it.

All other possibilities (radio ground, antenna ground, etc) have been checked.

Would any electrical expert here know if a noise suppressor would be the proper remedy for eliminating the static, and what sort/brand of suppressor I should purchase?

Thanks-

Yeah, I'm a bit of a dinosaur. I like talk radio on my morning commute.

First thing would be to provide a ground wire from the body to the ECU metal case . DO NOT drill ECU , try & use existing screw/ fastener on ECU . Clean off any corrosion on ECU & body earth and fit earth lead .

I would not attempt to fit anything else to ECU as you may well destroy the ECU or cause untold running issues due to erroneous readings
