Default XC 60 Help - Multiple warning messages

My 2015 XC60 D5 (35K) had just started to display multiple service warnings about almost every system e.g. air bags, BLIS, ABS, tire pressure, headlights, adaptive cruise control not working etc. etc.

The messages all appear one after another when the car is first started.

Has anyone had something similar, and if so I would love to know what fixed it.

It must be something common to multiple systems...

P.S My battery is less than a year old and charged.

(I have seen the earlier post about something very similar but I can’t directly message the contributor to find out how they fixed their problem because I am a new member)

There is at least two other posts referring to the self same problem, IIRC most of the problem was water ingress. Leaking windscreen. They should be too far back I’ll take a look, you might also brows thru some of the old posts .

Have a look on page 3, a thread posted by Bellaxc60, near bottom of page.

This happened on mine a few years ago because a pipe feeding the rear screenwasher began to leak under the dash and penetrated a CANBus connector. Very recently someone else had the exact same issue... https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=314843

It also happens sometimes if I forget and leave my ELM327 Bluetooth adaptor plugged in overnight and then start up.

Thank you. It would be interesting to know if Bellaxc60 found a fix as changing the SRS didn’t work. My dealer wants to put a new SRS in as there is ‘nothing coming out of it’. It a lot of money if it doesn’t cure the fault...

Not sure about Bellaxc60's experiences. Mine was the same as Tober in that link I provided... I feel I was very lucky to have taken my car to Shrewsbury Volvo as the master tech there really worked hard to find what was going on. To start with they had no idea what was wrong and were planning on replacing the CEM and the dash display. It was data corruption on the CANBus that pointed towards a connector or cable problem and then the MT found the leak while examing the underdash cabling.

You could check the passenger side footwell for dampness, although surprisingly mine appeared quite dry (leakage had gone behind the carpeting) Sometimes the windscreen seal can leak and cause similar problems, as quite a few have found.
