Default Nearside Rear Centre Parking Sensor Sunk into Bumper

Hi there.
I've tried finding some info on this on the forums but haven't had much luck.
Somehow, one of my parking sensors on the nearside rear centre has sunk into the bumper and I was told that I need to get that whole section of the bumper replaced (£650) due to the clip at the back of it being broken in my XC90 2017 model.
This caused the sensor to bleep constantly when reversing, even though there is no obstruction.
Has anybody experienced this and if they have, what was the fix?

Not experienced this particular issue, but all you will need to do is fiddle it back flush with the bumper again and then find a way to secure it with maybe glue or a tie wrap or similar. These are just very light components which just push into the bumper so really all it needs is an hour on a Saturday afternoon lying under the car and make it work. It is not a technical job.

As above once flush use a hot glue gun to fix in position.

someone has hit your bumper and pushed it in a bit , it springs back out then( no damage) and it breaks the bond between bumper and sensor holder. You need a plastic bonding kit which includes a primer which you put on the bumper and a new sensor holder, then mix the 2 pack glue and that will make a secure bond. Then press the sensor back in.

Thanks Guys.
By the sounds of it, I need to get behind the sensor.
Do I need to take that section of the bumper off first?
I'm sure I can do it myself but I'm not sure how to get to the components without causing any further damage.

Ultimately, I took it upon myself to look underneath and removed the four screws that secure the foil-looking membrane to get behind the lower part of the bumper.
I managed to secure it back using Gorilla Glue and it seems to be okay for now. I see no evidence of any brackets holding it in place previously and see no physical damage to show that there was a rear impact.
The silver part of the bumper that houses the sensors was replaced before I took this car from the dealership that I bought it from, and it looks like the other sensor has no bracket so they were probably both glued on previously.
If it holds, I've saved myself a good bit of money thanks to you guys.

Happy to help, and you even did it on a Saturday afternoon as I suggested!

Talking It's all good

I am happy to confirm that it has held and not gone back into the bumper.
I didn't wait 24 hours for it to dry completely and drove for at least 3 hours in the pouring rain about 4 hours after applying the glue.
I also drove through Central London yesterday and it hasn't budged.
No more ghost alerts when reversing and I can now use the self-parking (that I would try to use and give up as it's quicker just using the cameras and parking it myself).
