  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Thanks guys. What procedure do you recommend for flushing the engine ? Put in a "thin" oil, rev the engine for 1/2hr and drain -perhaps ? What specification of Mobil1 oil would you recommend to leave in - or is there only one 1 ?

Re the tappets - is replacing them a big job? - I have never done it but am fairly useful with a socket set and a Haynes? Or, how long would it take a competent mechanic at a "good" local non-Volvo garage to complete - which is what I use - so I can gauge the ££. It has to go in there for MOT next month.
