Low battery warning alert. Time for new battery??

I used to get that warning every time I sat in car with radio on and engine off on all 3 of my MK1 XC90's cars from being new. My new MK2 XC90 is just the same, even worse comes on even quicker, over protective or what. As long as your car is starting ok I would not worry about it.

The mk1 has stone age technology compared to the mk2, we don't touch one in workshop without its connected to a battery charger

I had this on my XC60 a while ago. Message kept coming back and used to shut the radio down. Never failed to start the car and the battery voltage was OK.

After a few weeks of this I got fed up and with winter coming and a long trip to France planned I bit the bullet and replaced the battery Bosch S5. Never had the message since.

I have kept the battery keep it charged up no it holds 12.7 volts when not on charge. It is still starts my garden tractor if needed. It's a bit of a mystery but I don't want to be let down and would have had to buy one sooner or later just it was sooner.

I had a low battery warning on a new D5 (to me) that's been sat for a few months. I also have a tpms warning which may be a symptom of a low battery as it came on at the same time. How do I test the battery and if needed which battery charger is best? Can you recharge stop start batteries?

Have you got an XC90 with stop start technology?
