Over the last few days, with the recent cold snap and damp mornings, I'm having an issue with opening the vehicle first thing in the morning.
If I attempt to open the drivers door or the rear tailgate by touch nothing happens. After which I press the open button on the key fob, but again nothing happens. After a few goes it seems to eventually open. Subsequently, I don't have any problems during the day or evening, until I return to the car the following morning. Any thoughts (PS car is early 2020 model) |

Try new key batteries first and get decent quality branded ones, if battery is weak and key is cold first thing in the morning, key in pocket during the day warms up battery and it works for the rest of the day.

As above, change the fob battery and all should be well again, that is classic sign of battery getting low.

Many thanks for the advice. The key fob isn't particularly cold as it's always in my pocket, so I assume it's the outside climatic conditions for the fob or the car itself?

Key would normally be coldest in the morning as it is not is use overnight / left in drawer etc, if battery is low signal will be poor / non existent, then during day it warms up and comes back to life and appears to work perfectly.
