Considering selling my 1966 121 and looking for advice.
Hi! As title say I'm considering selling my 1966 121, but I don't know where to start.
A bit of background. We had a child last year and got a practical modern family estate with airbags etc. I still drive my Amazon whenever I get the chance, but if we are doing family trips wife insists on the estate, which makes sense. I love the Amazon and its been my daily for years, but I've recently moved to work from home 90% of the time, so its seeing very little use nowadays. I don't have a garage and I know it will waste away just sitting there. I've had a lot of work done on it, and while its no show car it is a solid daily with a bunch of upgrades (unleaded conversion, alternator, sports exhaust) all fitted by a classic Volvo specialist. I haven't sold a car before and the Amazon was the first car I ever bought. So if anyone can advice me on how to proceed I'd greatly appreciate it. |

Not sure what sort of advice you are after.
I suggest firstly that you take a very full set of photographs of your car. This should be from all angles around the car. Then details shots of the areas where there might be corrosion/ or are perfect(!) The photos of engine bay, the interior, including revealing condition of the dash and seats. The inside of the boot. Finally ideally photos of the underside including inside the wheel arches. Perhaps then post some on the forum and people can guide you on value. This may determine how and where to look to sell. Include what history you know of the car, and of recent work undertaken on the vehicle. |

There are huge price variations with some vehicles so rotten they have no chance of getting through an mot without substantial welding through to some vehicles in mint condition. Without the history and background it is hard to tell a value. You are fortunate in that it will be a popular car if advertised correctly and honestly. |
