Default Crank pulley engine mount - does this photo look right?

2007 D5 (185)
I've been able to feel/hear the engine's vibrations strongly for the last week or so, so I expect at least one of the engine mounts is shot. I took the sump cover off this evening hoping the problem is the torque arm, but it looks perfect to me. However, the engine looks awfully low at the crank pulley end, so I wonder whether the mount there is gone.

I tried to take a photo showing how close the enginey bits are to the fixed bits. Can anybody tell whether this looks right?

The silver pipe looks as though it could be touching the chassis/mount, which surprised me. That can't be right, surely?

(I know it's hard to see with all the oil everywhere, but I had limited time/space and didn't want to rinse all the oil onto our block paving!)

I can take another photo of the top of the engine if it helps, once daylight has returned.

Secondly, the safety retaining straps on the front/rear vacuum mounts are both relatively slack. Is that normal while the engine isn't running? In photos I've seen the straps don't look loose, but I've never held a new mount to be able to compare.

Thanks for any expert advice you can share!

Sorry the photo's so big. Not sure how to reduce its size. I assumed the forum would limit the maximum width.

Hi, I downloaded a small app 'lit photo' from app store. No cost and easy to use.

Hope it helps
