In my experience the brackets were hard to find, probably because people have taken off spoilers and forgotten the brackets or have put the brackets 'somewhere safe' and lost them. The spoilers for 850s and V70s are essentially the same but the brackets differ as they fit around the hinge arms which are thicker on a V70.

The V70 has a high level brake light incorporated into the spoiler, the 850 has not

Interesting... its seems 4x4 you may have been half right after all. Never seen it myself, but as the earlier link proves, there does seem to have been a variant with the light in the spoiler..
