Default Spacesaver wheel 2014 S60 R-Design Question

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I would like to purchase a spacesaver tyre for the above vehicle. The wheels on the car are 18" Does that mean I will have to buy an 18" spacesaver or will I get away with 16 or 17"?

I would stick with 18” , might be ok with 17” over short distance but suspension wouldn’t like it .

Thanks for the reply. I'm struggling to find a 18"spacesaver tyre compatible with the S/V 60. That's the problem. I can find them for the XC 60 but not the S/V 60.

Have you tried the volvo dealer parts dept? You will be sure to get the correct one then. remember some models have larger brakes than others.

I haven't tried that. I dare say they should know the answer. Thanks.

It does not look like they have the polystyrene surround in stock at the moment.

Product code is
31682752, 31316306

There was a dealer FRF I think in Swansea was a good source for parts, you could try them.

Some photos of how much boot space the space saver will eat:

You could also try breakers yards.

I have one which I am about to list for sale if you are interested from my late-lamented XC60...
Photos attached.
I'm in Wiltshire, but can easily bring it to Farnborough, or in due course to S. London.
