Default Vibration on startup when "cold"

I have a 13 month old XC 40 B4 with 3400 miles on the clock. I bought it in January when it had done 2300 miles.

In recent months I've noticed that on start up there's a significant vibration sufficient to agitate water in bottle in a cupholder. It starts after 2-3 seconds @1200rpm and lasts for about 30 seconds when it fades away . RPM remains at about 1200 rpm for another 2-4 seconds when the revs drop to around 800 rpm . After this the engine funs fine with no issues.

I raised this with the dealer when it was serviced recently saying that it felt, in old fashioned terms, like a suspect sparking plug or HT lead. On picking the car up I was told that they had 'checked the codes' and that nothing was wrong. When I said there was I just got a shrug of the shoulders and told not to worry.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar and if so what was the cause?

Many thanks

Not really. Did a 200 mile trip at the weekend and this morning it SEEMED a little better. I'll continue to keep an eye on it and see what happens. Not impressed to be honest. It's the "no error code so everything is ok" attitude when I know it's not that annoys me. What happened to the man in a brown coat who actually took some interest in the issue.
If you get an answer I would appreciate feedback.
