[QUOTE=Tannaton;2871924]I had to move a shed today to another house. What could possibly go wrong?

Nice one, looks like a top gear challange!

Default First time out with my V90 CC

I have been sitting on the fence between an aftermarket detachable towbar and the official electric Volvo setup. I spent the extra and went to Volvo (Thanks to John Clark Volvo - good service).
Just been out for a short test run, never towed with a car or an auto box before (always been with manual SUV's).

Tows great 😃
Towbar is a joy to use and so much easier to connect the electrics than my last arrangement.
Ready to go👍

we have been towing with auto's since 2017 and would never consider going back to a manual gbox. Enjoy the caravaning.

That looks wonderful, we have the V90 but non in CC trim, adaptive suspension and electric tow bar, the B4 is wonderful with the polestar map

Thanks Rich

Interested to hear your observations towing in the standard engine modes compared to polestar mode.

I have been out again since my last post, although my route didn't take in any long or steep hills I was pleasantly surprised to find the car was unstressed even in eco mode.

Apologies for just replying, in Polestar you get a lot more rid range torque and seems slightly quicker to change down, holds the gear slightly taller too, world of difference towing, ive seen people saying the map is a waste of money, its was night and day different to standard IMO, i do circa 30k a year and i rarely have the 90 in normal mode drive and and still get late 50s and even more when i went to Glasgow from Northampton on a run solo.

Well, after 17 years of my ownership, and 8 in my son’s, the old Moggy finally disgraced itself today and ended up having to be recovered; it lost power and started running on 3 cylinders - a quick check showing very little compression on no1 cylinder, so hopefully nothing more than a head gasket.
Never mind, it was a good excuse to give the car trailer a run out!

Made me smile when i read 'nothing more than a head gasket', it took me back to when a Viva head gasket could be done in an afternoon - great days.
