Not sure exactly (Busy shooting Germans again), BUT it is more likely that the damage was caused by a low oil level, sudden serious oil leak under power, very thin oil, very old oil, wrong oil filter, long term use of supermarket engine oil, etc, etc (A tad busy at present).

Skyship I have rebuilding and building engines for the best part of 15yrs, when I say it's caused by lack of oil due to the pick up being blocked then thats what it is, seen the same damage thru engines with pick up blocked. Not that I need to explain my reasoning!

Was set free a few years ago im affraid.

Anyway, im with pooship. Its all your own fault for putting the wrong grade cheap supermarket oil in it cos you spent the rest on cheap beer there to lol

I have, actually was really impressed with it... In my Allegro that was though! (used to go through nearly as much oil as petrol so the cheaper the better for that! Was at the point I was considering topping up with "used" oil from the scrapyard, before the car itself went there.
