Spotted 240s - Page 80

At 22:15 yesterday - a dark blue 240GLT estate eastbound just beyond Burtonwood Services with a large objest (possilby a sofa?) on the roof.

Anyone here doing a moonlight flit?

I'm a bit late with this as it was last Saturday, the 21st. A white Estate (Torslanda?) drove past as I was entering the A390 towards St. Austell. I followed, with one car in between, as far as St Blazey where I was going to have a tyre fitted. It was good to see another, haven't seen one for ages.

Now another one, white estate passing through Quintrell Downs, near Newquay on Thursday, cheery wave from driver and passenger.

I've not seen any for ages, then two within a couple of weeks!

I wonder if it was the white one I saw on the M5 later that week!

Quite possibly, certainly the one I saw near Newquay had the appearance of being on holiday.

I keep seeing a lovely white 240(saloon, maybe a Torslanda?) in Grimsby, at least a couple of times on my commute home last week. Seeing one in the flesh which is pretty rare around here reinvigorated my search for one!

I had always assumed Torslandas were made only in estate form?

A well used white 244, Y-reg on Wennington Road this evening (the village that burnt down y'day), hooned around the corner before I could yell a compliment. Could have been the soot, but it looked like it hadn't seen a sponge for a few years...
