Sorry man, that's went right over my head. For the record I 100% agree with the right to protest, the right to express yourself and the right to freedom of thought; the last one being a really difficult one because surely all of our thought is manipulated to a certain degree? I particularly admire those with the courage of their convictions who protest in the full knowledge that doing so might end them up in jail, or out of a job because of the law. They are aware of the consequences but believe strongly enough in their principals that they live by them. Those who protest then complain when they don't like the consequences display a naivety and self entitlement that beggars belief...and those 'rules' stand regardless if I personally agree with those being expressed. Go cut down a camera, go glue yourself to a train, but don't complain if you end up in jail or unemployed. Setting fire to hotels and trying to drag people out of their cars or homes though, that's not protest, that's not damage to property, that's criminal, life endangering and those practicing such acts also need the full force of the law...again, regardless of their ideologies or philosophy...

When I bought my last car I managed to luck out, it was when they were offering silly deals just to shift the A6, that plus waving an orange wheels deal in his face won the day, I reckoned the discount took care of at least the first years depreciation.

If i wrote my S60 off today, zero value, it will have cost me £98/month in depreciation. Bought at two years old. Compare that with £700+/month leasing costs which are essentially the depreciation for the first two, three or four years. Lease a car you are locked in to the steepest part of the depreciation curve indefinitely. I'm sure there are people who have bought at four or five years old that have a depreciation figure half what mine is.
