Tripped over this pic in my Volvo file. Posted FYI. See it is one of Ron's.

Much appreciated, Derek. I have a tool made that is similar. That isn't really the problem in my case. It just appears the tolerances of the new torsion bars are not tight enough. If the bends were sharper and more accurate, they would fit.
Does anyone besides VP manufacture new parts? If not I probably just have to reinstall the old relaxed springs and deal with the annoying broom shaft. Doubt I can find a garage that can engineer a different solution in my area, unfortunately.

Thank you, Derek! There are some hints there, but unfortunately the bill of materials for the kit is unavailable now. I could e-mail the company and ask if they keep any record of parts for various models. If I can find out what parts are needed, this is a perfect solution. I don't mind drilling a few extra holes if it means something that fit and work. Already had to do this to fit a new fuel tank, as the modern reproduction ones are not an exact match.
