Hi, I have recently bought a 1999 V70 TDI and I'm new member
of this group.

I have an EML and have read the fault code:
CI-124 RPM SIGNAL, SIGNAL FAULT
I'm trying to locate the sensor and cannot find it. I've removed the air box and I'm looking around the rear of the block and gearbox area.
I can't seem to find anything online about this so any help is appreciated

Crankshaft sensor is I think only accessible from the underside of the engine, it is mounted on the engine itself, far under the injection pump, close to the transmission. On the V70, it is located at the front and you'll probably have to remove the lower intecooler hose to get it as it is just above it.
Connector and o-ring might be stuck from the decades. Good luck !
