Default EX30 winter tyres

Just searching for some winter wheels for the EX30. When I search on Ebay I find listings which show wheels which are suitable for EX30 also being suitable for XC40, C40 and even V60, XC60 etc...

Does anyone know if this is the case? Could I source some XC40 wheels for instance and fit them to my EX30?

Why not just invest in some good quality wheel sealer, saves the expense of another set of wheels and the hassle of changing them over unless it's because you need a winter tyre as well for the season.

only see wheels listed on the accessory site, they will probably be horrendously expensive - some of the other models they have offers for complete wheels and tyres.

It does state

When changing between approved wheel sizes 18", 19" and 20" on the Volvo EX30, there's no need to download new software.

But could get a set of 18'' wheels and buy the winter tyres then you have a complete set for Winter and the rest of the year.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I bit the bullet and just ordered the expensive option and bought the EX30 specific set (There is a winter set on the accesories page)

https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...ns/wheels/2024

Decided I couldn't be bothered with trying to get some old XC40 wheels on eBay and seeing if they fit or not. Additionally the set will come with the TPMS sensors so that is another advantage. Quite pleased that they are Michelin Alpin 5 tyres (although the detail says that could change if they change supplier).

Mine has 20" wheels and I bought the 18" set. The sets don't come with the disks so if dropping a size you need to get them as well.

I bought from a main dealer which sells winter wheel sets through eBay. All in for a set of 18s, with the disks and delivered I paid 1950 GBP. Think list was more like 2700 with the new disks. List on the 20s (excluding the disks as I wouldn't have needed them is more like 3400!)

Nice one, will give plenty of grip when it gets cold.

Fingers crossed. Will be tracking any loss of range with softer tyres too. Will report back.
