Default Chichester, Saturday 20 July 2024, V70XC or XC70

Parked on a side road I drove past today in Chichester I caught a split second front-on view of a second generation (2000-2007) P2 platform V70XC or XC70 in either white or silver, my attention being drawn in that split second by it sporting the unusual registration plate "V70XC".

Having now checked on the DVLA website, based on my assumption that "V70XC" could be illegally-spaced "V7 OXC", I have confirmed that V7 OXC is a taxed and MOT'd Volvo XC70 first registered on 27 July 2005 with a petrol 2521cc engine. The MOT history shows the last pass was just over a month ago on 17 June 2024 at a mere 78,000 miles. So that all stacks up against what I believe I saw.

The one fly in the ointment is that according the the DVLA website V7 OXC is green, not white or silver!

So maybe my eyes were deceiving me and maybe they were not...but it was unmistakably a second generation (2000-2007) P2 platform V70XC or XC70, and it did look to be in tip top condition.

Anything to do with anyone lurking in these parts perchance?
