2003 V70 D5's are absolutely brilliant. Astonishing fuel economy, superbly comfortable and do huge mileages.

Couldn't agree more and this was in no way a cherished example either.

The drivers seat had held up very well and was only let down by the stitching down the side of the backrest starting to come away. I've seen worn/saggy seats on some premium marques with as little as 50k on them.

I had one for a courtesy car that had done 350k and that was showing an average mpg of over 60mpg. I wildly overestimated how much fuel I needed to put in it for my journey. It was running extremely well, a real joy to drive.

Renew Engine Oil Level Sensor.
Oil leak from Turbo Return Pipe need to investigate.

2001 v70 Petrol (sorry)
140,000
Replaced steering pump.
Did PCV service at 130,000.
Great car, prefer to drive it than the xc70.

Hi just joined the Volvo fraternity with a 57 plate V70 D5.
176k full service history including 2 cambelt changes.
All good so far, including the ubiquitous smoke on acceleration.
But mint inside and out and, after years of overpriced German premium brands, I'm loving the warble and solid feel - not a squeak or rattle anywhere.

Will keep you posted!
