Default Volvo V40 (2012) D2 - Battery Removal

Hi,

Hoping someone will offer some words of wisdom. I have just purchased the above and have the continuous 'battery Charging' warning in the Start/Stop menu which makes Start/Stop unavailable. I would like to check to see if the battery is the original Volvo installed but I cant seem to remove the black plastic cover which sits above the battery. I believe this is a Pre-fuse box but happy to be corrected.

I have attached a picture taken from the forum - is it just a case of removing the two torx bolts to lift away or are there any clips.

Many Thanks in advance

Barry

It will be the support battery that needs replacing. It lives just below the main battery.
You need to remove the front bumper to access it.
Not a particularly difficult job perhaps just a little fiddly
