Question 53 Reg 1.9 D V40 Sump Cracked

Hi all,

The sump pan on my V40 has cracked, does anybody know if it is the same as any other sump pan that will suit, so I can broaden my search a little?

Cheers

I have just had a sump delivered for my V70 D5 engine 2003 , bought off ebay for £15 which is a great price when you see whats actually inside the sump assembly , its full of brass pipes/ nozzles/ seals etc and two steel plates rivetted in , I dont know the cost of a new one but looks like expensive , theres a bloke on ebay who seems to specialise in selling sumps ! will see if I can find his details and post them , its worth a try . I bought the spare sump so I can fit an oil immersion heater , it will take me ages to do so didnt want to have the car off the road . I doubt the D5 sump will fit yours but will post a photo with measurements if it helps .

Thanks $ forty!

Bernard, if you could get me the sellers details, that would be great.

If you could also post a pic of your D5 sump, that would also be most appreciated!

Thanks guys
