Default Is it 60 thou for cam belt in D24tic?

I have just received confirmation today that my car has had a new cam belt in the last couple of years, phew, less expense for me on an engine that is sick anyway. Can somebody please confirm it is every 60 thou for cambelt change, thank you

Thanks Oman5, didn't have time to check my manual, this means I have a while yet before it needs changing........ Had one go once, never want to go there again, fortunately a friend was out of work and completely rebuilt my engine for me but it was never like the original afterwards in terms of performance or mpg.......

I chickened out of doing mine when I read the words "special tools" and paid a local one-man band garage to do it. He knew what he was doing and it still took him 6 hours- the official volvo workshop time is 7!! He asked me politely not to bring it back again.
Needs to be done though, from what I've read this is definately an "interferance" engine, ie if the belt goes pistons WILL hit valves

I've been able to work out when mine was done from the electronic mot log on the net, I've got quite a few thou to go yet. I've been really worried throughout the time period trying to find out if it was really done or not, expecting it to 'go' at any time. When mine went once there was just a tiny ting and the engine stopped and I thought it was the throttle cable. You should have seen the state of the engine when I saw it stripped down!! I was a mini cab driver at the time in London, cost of rebuild through a friend plus a couple of weeks out of work - very expensive!
