Default Warning beep??

Something's bugged me since owning my 2010 S80. It's only a trivial thing but should there be a beep from the dash when a warning light comes on (e.g. low washer fluid or blown headlight bulb)? Mine doesn't. Also, if I switch on the side lights (centre position on the light switch), there's no lights-on alarm when the door is opened. It does however beep if I drive without a seat belt.

Perhaps this is normal but it does seem a bit odd. Just want to find out now while the car is under warranty.

Cheers,
Steve

I don't think there is any kind of beeper apart seatbelt warning. Had a blown bulb and it only comes on a clocks dis[lay. I wish to had a beeper for side lights. I tend to switch to side light to not blow my headlights( unfortunately my software needs update to disable drl's with vida) Now i know that after a visit to such a gentleman member from in here and checked with vida...

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it's not just my car then. Seems like a fairly obvious omission to me.
