Default 2012 V70 'Dealer Fit' Options

Hi Guys,

Bought a 6 month old well specced, V70 D5 215 bhp G/Tronic R Design, which will be delivered to me in 10 days.

Options it has, include:
7" Sat Nav.
Premium Audio.
Rear Park assist.
LDW
BLIS
ACC
PCC
Laminated Side Glass
Heated Seats
Electric tailgate
Plus others....

It's a good spec, hence why I went for it.

Thinking of getting a few dealer fit options though, and would appreciate a bit of feedback to if they're any good, and what the approx costs are from Volvo:

Front Park Assist
Front Panoramic Cameras
Rear parking camera
Digital TV
DAB (although appreciate it would need DAB prep already in).
Polestar Upgrade.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Frankly I wouldn't worry about any of that. The car is already very well spec'd so I suggest getting it, driving it, working out what is important to you and then if you still want the options making the decision in a few months.

Looking at other posts (mine included) how about a spare wheel (space saver), car jack and wheel brace.

My car is a very similar spec. and includes some of the deal fitted options you're thinking of, I don't have Front Park Assist, Digital TV or Polestar, but have the rest.

The Rear Parking Camera is good, I'd have that again; the Front View Camera I'm in two minds about its not as good as I'd hoped, so I won't select that next time. I love the DAB and that would be high on my list for my next car.

I don't see the point of Polestar, is does nothing for MPG or MPH just half second quicker to 60 (bit of mid range pull), I don't think the 215Bhp engine needs it, my car flys when the Geartronic is put in Sports Mode, since I've got a XC70 yours will be quicker. IMHO it's not worth £600+ (maybe increase insurance) & if you wanted a fast, great handling car, then a Big Estate Car might not of been the best or first choice.

As for the TV, I thought about it but I can watch TVCatchUp on my iPhone / iPad while sat in my car if I wanted to watch Digital TV & I can play DVD's as standard in the car so bought a few cheap DVD's (Black Adders, Faulty Towers etc) and leave them in the car to watch if waiting for ages.

The TV picture won't play while the car is moving.

Thanks for the reply chaps.

I'd like to get the options sorted before delivery really - not got time to take back in until next service really. And TBH, even if I did, I'd never get round to it anyway!

So really, the rear park camera, front parking assist and DAB are to go for.

If DAB is not pre-prepped, I believe this can't be done? So may go for TV if it isn't.

Chaddie or anyone else - do you have any rough prices on these options above? As if I'm not careful, I'll need a 2nd mortgage!

Thanks

Steve

Further to previous.....

Having looked at the installation manuals for some of these options (especially the rear camera), I'm not sure I want that amount of disruption to the internal panels and dash for the cable route anyway. I'm always suspect to the quality of the refitting of the panels and covers once touched.

Will see what prices I get from the dealer.

The Camera were deal fit and it all fine, everything was fitted fine and doesn't look like an after thought.

The Front Camera cost me £395 and the Rear (not sure without digging out the paper work) was around the same price, the prices were listed on the Web Site, however the cost to the dealer was higher about £500.

The DAB was a factory fit, so paid the list price for that.
