Default Jacking points - where are they?

I have just bought a 2009 XC70 and discovered there is no jack and no spare wheel. Okay I understand the rational behind that but I want to jack the car up and take the wheels off to clean them and repair paint chips. I have a trolley jack and have found a flat(ish) area at the front that I can use but can't find a suitable place at the rear of the car. Do I just jack it up using the rear diff as you do on "normal" vehicles or is there another option?

On my old Volvo 850 the car jack fitted over the welded seam on the sill under the body at the front and at the rear, if anyone has a jack for a 2009 XC70 does it also fit in the same place? Does the jack have a step on it like a "V" to fit over the welded seam and what about the plastic sill covers that extend down to and cover the sill??

Sorry about all the questions but hopefully someone will have the answers readily available. I did do a search but could only find stuff on V40s and older V70s.

basicly the sill anywhere along it . There are round cut outs in the plastic sill trim where a 5 inch diameter jack pad may go . There will also be some attachment for the standard jack to fit too ( if you had one ) ..

I can confirm that the standard jack does have a slot in its plate to fit over the welded seam and that the plastic sill covers have cut-away sections front and rear to expose the welded seam.

You can take a piece of wood and cut a slit in it, so it fits over the welded seam. Then you can lift under the wooden piece with a normal jack.
