Default 12v ignition fed supply near glove box

2009 V70R is there anywhere near the glove box I can get a switched 12v supply?

Fitted a Roadhawk camera and the two supplies in the centre console are not convenient ( rear keeps getting kicked and front sticks up too much).

I did think of visor mirror light, but these seems permanent live, as is glove box light (unless I'm missing something)

Hi,
I have just fitted a handsfree kit to my 2007 S80. To get power I spliced into the rear 12v socket wiring and fitted a separate fuse. I have attached a pdf on how to fit the portable satnav volvo specify, this will show you how to get to the power.

hope this helps.

Joe

Wow thanks Joe, that's perfect.

To keep the Roadhawk wiring harness I'll make a spur 12v supply and use rubber tape to keep 12v socket insulated and from coming apart.

I've already run the wire under carpet and down tunnel to the rear 12v socket, so the work required is minimal.

Thanks for such a simple and elegant solution !
