Hi Rob,

I'm hoping the new CPS will help her start up.

Regarding your erratic idle. I too have experienced that.
In my case the solution was a new set of HT leads which replaced the 30 year old originals.
It literally gave her a new lease of life.
Then, with the addition of a new set of sparks, she became quite perky.

Thanks for your post, Steve.

Hello all.

Just to let you know. The culprit was the Radio Suppression relay. It had two dry joints.

I've received the new Crank Position Sensor but have yet to fit it as the old one seems to be holding up.

All the best and thanks for the pointers.
