Recommended XC70 buyers guide

Hi All,

I’m thinking of getting an XC70 is there a recommended buyers guide if what to look for?

Also I understand that there is a polestar upgrade? Does anyone have any info on that? Does it affect mpg?

It’s this or get an L322 Range Rover and just accept penury! and a personal relationship with the RAC man🙂.

Track enthusiasts will turn up their noses at the mere 15 bhp power increase but overall it gives the car extra power and a smoother drive that for a big high end estate car it should have had from the start. It's supposed to improve MPG but I can't say I've noticed any dramatic changes.

The only criticism with which I have any sympathy is that it is not cheap and if you are considering it, shop around for discounts. I justified it on the grounds that I got a good discount and that as a vehicle expense I can claim tax and VAT allowance which halves the price paid otherwise I have probably settled for a Superchips rewrite but that would have had the disadvantage of being liable to deletion every time Volvo upgraded the software on the car.
