B20 carb Manifold
I have a b20b engine , with no carbs or manifold . I am thinking of putting a single Stomberg 175 cd and manifold from my b20a engine. I think the jet needle is 2se. Has any one tried this if so did you change the jet needle. I could go for a Weber32/36 but would need matching manifold any help pleas

I have a Tinus Tuning TT3 cam and the thin head gasket to raise compression a wee bit with a single Stromberg 175, so similar to the B20B. I have the later non-adjustable carb but fitted a adjustable jet. It runs beautiful, cold start instant start, idles lovely and hot start again instant. It can be sitting a week and still starts straight away. Make sure you get the diaphragm from Burlen, it’s a soft and pliable so works well. I have the B1CC needle and is good, I have checked it with my O2 wideband sensor. It could be a little richer at wide open throttle and above 75mph but apart from that is a good choice. I have tried the B2AF needle but it is too rich at the idle end of the needle so not ideal. Above 70mph though it keeps accelerating really well more so than the B1CC. If you go this route give me a shout and I can advise on how to setup at idle so it’s correct.

I know of the restrictions for sending PMs - you need to have a number of posts under your belt before that is allowed... ...something could have gone wrong of course. Try sending an email to the administrators forumadmin@volvoclub.org.uk Good luck {Essentially the answer to your question has been provided in the link Derek provided - further information can also be found by contacting Volvo itself - so whilst you could be irritated by the situation please note folks here are trying to help!}

Looks like it's from a 1973 142, 144 or 145.
