Turbo manifold Gasket
I think a sudden minor problem is a blown gasket between exhaust manifold and turbo.
Stock B200FT, stock 13c turbo. Slight smell of exhaust fumes, less than smooth part-throttle at low speeds, top of gasket area is pale, too dry and with a nasty brown smear in the middle. Oooer. I have the gasket. I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to watch out for. I'm going to do it at the proper garage tomorrow simply because if I need to remove that bolt underneath on the bracing strip I know from past experience I can not do it wriggling under the car on the street.

There isn't a gasket between the turbo and the downpipe ...
I hope there's a gasket where I think I have a problem. You're making me slightly worried.

I thought turbo and manifold just mated together

That was useful, so I checked in the FAQ.
I've just been out to the car in the drizzle, looking at that joint with the engine started. It might just be a red-herring, or it might be blowing slightly from the joint when cold. I'll let the boffins at the garage have a look tomorrow. Thanks Griston.

No Gasket, most likely cracked manifold

False alarm!
There was a smell of exhaust gases at the front of the car, the low-throttle ride wasn't smooth, but that was all the symptoms. It turns out the number-4 sparkplug was loose. Fixed it. Edit: the nasty looking top of the manifold-turbo bit is where oil was being blown back onto it from slight seepage at the front of the cam-cover, probably still means it isn't as tight a fit as it should be but ... meh.
