460 Turbo on eBay!
Nothing to do with me, other than the fact that I'd love it for myself!
Item number 130895975470. Wants a bit of work doing, but the seller says he will do it himself if he gets the £1500 he's after; otherwise it's £1000 as it is...

£1500 seems a bit much.... so does the £1000 he'll take without the Mods he has in mind...
I had a MINT 91(J) 460 GLEi which I bought for £450... and sold a year later for £495... and that was the "purists" car, ie. nothing changed or modded from the factory line, as new original... good luck to him...

Yeah looks like he'd take the 1K as it stands, but it won't get the repairs he says it needs...

He's over-valuing that a bit [predictable owners' club statement #4].
Mine was earlier, a manual and had 61k on the clock for £425. Had to laugh at a message that was left on the windscreen about a month back, though: 'hi m8 if u r scraping this car I wil giv u 200 4 engni and box 0[censored] darryl' An auto box would make it less valuable to me, but then I understand lots of folk have auto-only licenses - others prefer self-shifters. Personally I don't think the slurrer is suited to the 1721 engine - the ratios are too wide.

460 Turbo on eBay!
Hi all,
This is my advert on eBay...I joined the forum to post about some N/A cams into a B5234 engine. I didn't want to post about the 460 as it is bad form to introduce yourself with "Hi guys!! I have a car for sale.........blah blah". Without the modified ECU yes the ratios are wide on the auto box for these cars...but with a bit more torque they are quite nice to drive. For cruising you don't really need to venture much past 2000 rpm til you want to get up to 70 mph (approx. 2600). ECU is the one with two circuit boards, modified by Robou over on the 480 forum, not much change out of 200 quid but worth every penny!! Anyway, nice to meet you and be here, and yes probably 1500 is a little high. Like I said in the advert I would take less for it and 1000 is what I paid for it. There wasn't really anything to compare it to, it's in good nick apart from listed defects and I'm not that fussed about selling it although it is a little surplus to requirements. I have two 480's with the same engine...both autos too! I noticed the 460 runs a little cooler than its sibling probably due to more space in the engine bay. Cheers, James |

So, does this mean that I've gotta sell my pub car now seeing that I bought mine at the same time?! Steve

Now then Steve, after lurking around in the background reading posts I thought I should expand to joining here as well as the 480 Club forum!
I picked up an S70 CD with the B5234T3 engine , so the 460 (and the V70R for that matter) is extra. It really is amazing how little interest there is for both cars, even though they are what I consider to be good ones. I'm a pretty crappy salesman maybe I should try writing a bit more BS...anyway they are worth only what someone wants to pay! If the S70 turns out to be a good one probably I will just drop the prices down if a forum member fancies either of them. The S70 is like the love-child of the V70R and 460 turbo. A CD-spec turbo saloon but this time with nice 5-cylinder engine note and tuning advice from Jan Woth About selling your bought-from-a-man-in-the-pub car....absolutely no way! I purchased my K-reg 480 turbo for 600 squids, it's ratty but just goes and goes - good feeling to know that you paid next to nowt for it and it functions as well as the boring new stuff that people are paying mortgages for ps Haven't forgotten about getting those fog lights for u either....back in UK in a couple of weeks!! |

Lol!
It wasn't bought from a man in a pub, but more to get a man TO the pub!! Yeah, it runs really well, just toying whether or not to tackle the rear arches or just let it waste away! No worries with the fogs James, whenever you're ready. Oh don't forget the bumper side clips S70 hey? Always kinda liked them! Good luck with the sale BTW! Steve
