Other XC90 Problem: Not starting

Hi all im new to the volvo scene i picked up a 2006 volvo xc90 2.4d5 on Thursday the car has been running great until today i went out to warm the car up for 10mins it started first time after a few mins its cut out and wont start any ideas what it could be it has just over a quarter of a tank of diesel ive contacted the previous owner and asked them if they ever had any issues. Ive pulled cover off and checked cambelt its good ive checked electrics and fuses seems all good theres no eml light on either

Just wondering if you have sorted the "Not starting",

if not

When you say that it is not starting, is the engine turning over but not firing or is there nothing when you turn the key? What noises is the engine making? Are the lights on the dash coming on when you try to start?
