it's not just a visual check - there is a road test element too.

Here's the list of Selekt checks:

I'm currently in a Select S60 as my V60 has now been in the garage for 2 weeks with them trying to sort out a misfire.

The Select S60, which is advertised on the dealer's website as having gone through that check list, fails very obviously on two of the boxes (wheels and bodywork damage) so I'm not sure they actually do all of that in some cases...

Thanks for that, very first thing, service book and wallet errrm nope, had to ask and they'll order.
I'll ask for the selekt sheet next time I'm in, that should see a fun response ..

Yeah, if they can be bothered to do it correctly.

The OP didn't even have an owner's manual/service book.

That's the first thing on the Selekt checklist...

The Selekt check seems to be optional with dealers. Mine had all the boxes ticked on the PDI sheet, despite the Hybrid batterty not being charged, locking wheel nut missing, numerous scratches that I'd pointed out to be repaired and several other minor things. I'd hesitate to say unscrupulous...

Despite that, the car is brilliant and the dealership I've chosen for service (Ray Chapman, previously Clive Brook, in Huddersfield) is fantastic.
